With a bountiful pinch of Italian flavor, Chiappa Firearms entered the gun market in 1958. Guided by his passion for firearms and love for challenges, Ezechiele Chiappa opened an artisanal workshop and called it Armi Sport. Over the years, it grew into a full-fledged industrial group, but the Chiappa family never ceased to run the business.

Chiappa Firearms comprises several smaller companies, each of them specializing in particular goods. Chiappa Firearms s.r.l. is involved in the production of defense, sporting, and replica firearms. Many of the guns are reproductions of older, muzzle-loading guns and other classic rifles. Chiappa has also designed an original revolver called Chiappa Rhino.

Kimar, another subsidiary company, manufactures blank-fire replica firearms, often used for reenactments or theater performances, air guns, small-caliber, and non-lethal guns. It mostly focuses on the production of blank-firing guns, flare guns, and prop guns.

Costa s.r.l. is another vital component of the company. This subsidiary is responsible for the surface treatment of metal parts, an indispensable part of any firearm production process.

If you wonder who makes Chiappa firearms, all of the companies above are located in Italy and all stages of production are carried out within the company. Beginning with creating 3D models to building prototypes, from producing gun parts to assembling them in a whole firearm - Chiappa is a fully autonomous company. The whole production process is overseen by a computer system, which allows for close monitoring of the execution time and production costs. The Chiappa inspection team tests all firearms in a shooting range built inside the company building.
