Lowers & Frames
No building can stand without a bearing construction, and no firearm can shoot without a receiver. That is a part that houses the internal action components and connects such parts as the barrel, gunstock, trigger mechanism, and sights. Common materials for receivers include stamped or forged steel, forged aluminum alloys, and strong polymer blends. A receiver with trigger components is considered a full-fledged firearm, and its production, import, and sale require an ATF-issued license. Every gun receiver has its own serial number for the purposes of inventory and tracking.
Some firearms, like revolvers and break-open shotguns, have one-piece receivers, whereas guns with detachable magazines, like semi-automatic pistols and rifles, are multi-piece weapons. Currently, the second type is more widespread and constitutes the majority of firearms in the United States. It comprises two parts: upper and lower receiver. The lower part usually houses components of the trigger group, fire control group, and a magazine. Since those are vital-for-firing parts, gun lowers can often be found in the firearm section and not in firearm parts.
This section is mostly dedicated to AR-15 lowers of various degrees of completion. We have AR lower receivers, deprived of any additional components, working as carcasses. If you need an AR lower parts kit to manually assemble your lower receiver into a functional piece, that we also can offer. However, ARs are not the only weapons we can help you complete. If you are looking for a gun frame to fit a Glock, we have those as well.
Whether something unfortunate happened to your gun and it needs repairing, or you simply decided to upgrade it, this is the place to do so. Be it a stripped lower receiver or a lower parts kit, we got you covered. Gritr Sport has a wide choice of AR lowers of different degrees of completion, featuring various materials and hardcoat finishers. We only work with brands that have proved themselves reliable, so quality is guaranteed.
