BERETTA OPTIMA-CHOKE HP BLACK EDITION 20MM EXTENDED 12 GAUGE CHOKE TUBE:

Beretta Optima-Choke HP tubes stand up to the heat of competition. Manufactured from high strength steel, these chokes guarantee significant corrosion resistance and have the ability to withstand the rigors of steel shot. Optima-Choke HP tubes are fully interchangeable on all Beretta barrels that are threaded for Optima-Choke HP. These choke tubes are designed for 12 gauge shotguns with the optimachoke HP system.
Can I use a Steel Shot with my Beretta Choke Tubes?
We suggest that - when using Steel Shot - you only use choke tubes marked with the SP (Steel Proof) identification on the side and that you use the most open choke system possible - i.e. Cylinder / Improved Cylinder / or Modified. We DO NOT recommend the use of a Steel Shot in the X-Tra Full Turkey / Full / or Improved Modified choke tube. As with any shotgun, always be sure to check your choke tubes during use to verify that they are tight in the barrel. Loose choke tubes can cause barrel damage.
WARNING: The Optima HP choke tube in an Optima gun (without the HP designation) can cause severe damage to the choke tube and barrel when the shotgun is fired. Only use Optima HP choke tubes in these Optima HP shotguns: SV10 Perennia, SV10 Prevail, A400 Family of shotguns, 690, 692, DT-11, and UGB25 Sporting.
OPTIMA-CHOKE HP NEW LEGACY
With the introduction of the SV-10 Perennia and Prevail Series Over and Under guns in 2008 a third Optima-Bore choke configuration was added, the Optima-Choke HP. As noted above under the Optima-Choke Plus section, the extended use of high-performance steel and metal alloy non-toxic shot imparts considerable stresses. In the case of the Optima-Choke Plus part of the solution was to use a choke tube design offering a thicker choke tube wall to better resist these forces. This in turn results in a heavier, larger diameter barrel. One of the principal objectives in designing the Optima-Choke HP (OB HP) system was to develop a choke tube system that would withstand the rigors of the extended use of heavy payloads of steel/metal alloy shot while being able to retain the weight saving and handling characteristics of the lighter Optima-Choke barrel contour.
