This mount from Evolution Gun Works comes standard with a bevel on both sides, making it ambidextrous.
The bolt pattern on the Evolution Gun Works Remington 700 Long Action mount is compatible with Long Action Remington 700 rifles (examples include 30-06 and 300 Win Mag), as well as the 740 and 40x models. However, it is not compatible with the Howa 1500 or Weatherby Vanguard, despite the similar bolt pattern. Differences in the ejection port, length, and other features render the mount incompatible with these guns.
Evolution Gun Works recommends measuring the hole spacing on the receiver to ensure it matches the published dimensions.
Picatinny cross slots run the full length of the rail, providing flexibility for mounting scope rings and other accessories. The channel in the center reduces the overall weight of the mount and, in many cases, does not obstruct the use of factory iron sights. These one-piece scope mounts are a top choice for hunters and tactical shooters alike.
The mounts are manufactured by Evolution Gun Works using advanced machining centers. After machining, the mounts are tumbled, sandblasted, and Type III anodized for long-lasting durability.
Recommendations:
0 MOA: For shooting distances between 0-500 yards
20 MOA: For shooting distances between 500-1000 yards
30 MOA: For shooting distances between 1000-1500 yards
40 MOA: For shooting distances over 1500 yards
When zeroing a rifle with a 20 MOA mount, it is recommended to zero at 200 yards.
Installation: Evolution Gun Works advises applying 20 inch lbs of torque and a drop of blue Loctite during installation. Loctite is available separately through the company's website.
