People might sometimes direct all the stage lights at American firearm companies, overlooking the European brands that deserve our attention just as much and occasionally even more. We are proud to use the firearms produced within the boundaries of our country, but the oversea brands expanded into the American market precisely to bring their quality goods to us. At the end of the day, run-of-the-mill brands will have a hard time competing with our titans, but if someone is outstanding enough to get settled and even thrive here, it’s the ultimate marker of a worthy producer. FN America is a vivid example of a standard-setting European company arriving at the American market with products not inferior to ours in any aspect. Having been producing firearms for more than 130 years, FN Herstal acquired an unparalleled proficiency in firearm making. It is the largest exporter of military small arms in Europe, so it’s only natural for such a prominent player to seek competition in a major league.
FN Pistol
The FN America 509 is the brand’s most recognizable series of handguns. Being a redesigned version of the FNS pistol, FN 509 is a polymer-frame striker-fired semi-automatic pistol developed and produced by the brand's American subsidiary. The series includes several variations, including FN 509 Midsize, FN 509 Compact, and FN 509 Tactical. Though it’s the most recognizable family of the brand's handguns, it’s not the only one. FN Five-seveN and FN High Power are yet another two series of quality pistols, united by reliability and exemplary performance but each featuring a different design and set of peculiarities.
FN Rifle
Even if slightly less acclaimed, FN America rifles don’t give ground to their more renowned sibling in terms of quality. The performance of each of the brand’s rifle series, be it FN15, FN Scar, or FN PS90, is nothing short of flawless. Calling them highly affordable would be an overstatement, but each of those rifles is worth every cent you’ll spend on it.
