Designed for mid to long-range use, the Hawke Optics 4-12x40 Vantage AO IR Riflescope boasts the Rimfire .22 WMR Reticle with five selectable brightness levels for use in most lighting conditions in either red or green. Red is ideal for low-light conditions, while green is easier to see in brighter ambient light or when using NVDs in extreme low-light or complete dark. The 40mm objective draws in copious amounts of light versus smaller objectives while maintaining a low profile. Covered turrets help guard against accidental adjustments. Complementing the performance of the scope is a lightweight and durable housing, with a 1" one-piece maintube that is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be water and fogproof.
