Weighing at almost 5 pounds, the stout Desert Eagle has always been a hefty magnum handgun. Now, Magnum Research is proud to introduce a lighter weight model which makes a noticeable difference when handling the pistol. Through the use of an alloy frame and weight reducing cuts, the Desert Eagle L5 is just under one pound lighter than the steel framed models. The single action pistol has a crisp 4-pound trigger pull. The lightweight Desert Eagle L5 takes the same magazines as the current steel models.
The Desert Eagle L5 pistol in .50 A.E. is offered with a 5-inch barrel, and features a hard-coat anodized black aluminum frame. The steel slide and barrel are available in Mil-Spec Green Cerakote finish. Hogue finger groove rubber grips and top Picatinny style optics rail* are included. The lightweight Desert Eagle L5 models are New York State compliant.
*The Desert Eagle Picatinny style optics rail is compatible with single-slot mounts only. Dual-slot mounts will not fit due to the slot spacing.
