The Competition Bushing Neck Die Set offers the ultimate in precision for competitive shooters who prefer to neck size their brass. The Set includes the Competition Bushing Neck Die, the Competition Seating Die and a Body Die.
The Set is recommended when used with brass that has been sorted for thickness uniformity and/or neck turned. As such, a size button is not included. Partial neck sizing, a popular benchrest technique, is able to be fine-tuned via a micrometer adjustment.
Both the Bushing Neck Sizing Die and the Competition Seating Die feature micrometer adjustments for precision.
Bushings and Shellholder sold separately.
Competition Bushing Sizing Die -- With this die, the cartridge case is completely supported and aligned with the sizing bushing before the sizing process begins.
While the micrometer adjustment of the bushing position delivers precise control to the desired amount of the neck length to be sized. (Bushings are sold separately).
The Body Die -- is designed to resize the body of your cartridge case and adjust the shoulder position (bump) for proper chamber fit without disturbing the neck diameter.
It is intended to resize fired cases to proper dimensions (except for the neck) when they have become difficult to chamber from repeated firing and/or neck sizing.
The Competition Seating Die is shipped with a standard seating stem that accommodates most bullet designs. The Competition Seating Die should not be used for compressed loads. The die is equipped with a micrometer. This micrometer is easily adjustable for bullet seating depth with each increment equaling .001” on the micrometer barrel, or .050” per revolution. This feature enables the handloader to make fast, accurate and repeatable changes in bullet seating depth, with no guesswork required.
