Ruger is proud to introduce the Ruger American Rifle Generation II, an update to the American-made rifle that has been the benchmark for accuracy, durability, and performance in bolt-action rifles for over a decade. Upgraded features include a durable, attractive Gun Metal Gray Cerakote finish on the barrel, a threaded bolt handle, stainless steel bolt body, and intuitive three-position tang safety that locks the bolt, which prevents inadvertent bolt opening yet allows the rifle to be loaded with the safety engaged. Installed low comb improves sight alignment when using magnified optics but can be removed when utilizing low-mounted sights. Removing the installed spacer allows for length of pull to be adjusted from 13.75" to 12". Designed with customer feedback in mind, the Ruger American Rifle Generation II is sure to become the first choice for hunters and firearms enthusiasts. The standard generation II models feature a durable, Gun Metal Gray Cerakote barreled action and a dark gray stock that is textured with black and gray splatter for excellent grip and control in the field. The 20", medium-contour, cold hammer-forged barrel features deep spiral fluting on most models, improving the balance of the rifle without sacrificing rigidity or accuracy. The threaded muzzle features a factory installed radial muzzle brake.
