Ruger's Security 9 is compact for easy concealment. Its precision machined, hard coated aluminum chassis features full-length guide rails, a through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel, and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame. The Secure Action combines the smooth trigger pull of the LCP with a short, crisp feel and positive reset while the textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip.
An internal, Secure Action hammer provides strong ignition force yet allows for easier slide racking. Its front cocking serrations allow for positive slide manipulation. The Security 9 also features Viridian E-Series red (635-650 nm) laser. The laser unit weights just over 1/2 oz with the installed battery and is securely mounted to the rail and trigger guard. The laser features ambidextrous push-button activation.
