There's no longer a need to compromise performance for weight. Introducing the BERGARA Premier MgLite Bolt-Action Rifle, featuring an ultra-lightweight XLR Element magnesium chassis and their proprietary CURE Carbon barrel, making this rifle the epitome of a lightweight, packable precision hunting rifle.
The perfect mating of carbon and steel. Bergara cured the carbon barrel problem of inconsistency by getting steel and carbon to perfectly work together by managing heat. CURE Barrels are uniquely optimized both mechanically and thermodynamically via a proprietary, patent pending, carbon weave with embedded stainless strands that move heat. Every aspect of the design was optimized to yield an ultralight, stiff, straight, rugged barrel, shot after shot.
Two-lug system that features a separate floating bolt head to ensure contact with the lug abutments in the action. It also features a cone-shaped bolt nose for smooth feeding of the cartridge, and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor located in the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece bolt body is stainless steel with a pad at the rear to accept the threaded-in bolt handle. The bolt head, the non-rotating gas shield, and the bolt shroud are fully Nitrided for extreme durability, as well as its self-lubricating properties.
The XLR Element 4.0 Magnesium chassis as an ultra-lightweight modular hunting rifle chassis designed for the backcountry hunter. Configured with a carbon fiber folding buttstock and carbon fiber grip, the system weight is just 28 oz. This ultralight configuration is the first rifle chassis system in the world to weigh under 2 lbs! The MgLite features a built-in bubble level, and machined in RRS 1.5" dovetail (Arca-Swiss) in the forend.
Bergara's partnership with TriggerTech was to create a world-class experience for every user of any Bergara Rifle. TriggerTech's patented Frictionless Release Technology increases performance and accuracy for the end-user by eliminating creep and heavy pull weights. Even in the most rugged conditions, it maintains its premium performance, delivering greater precision and safety with every shot.
