BERGARA Premier MgLite .300 PRC 22in Threaded 5rd Bolt-Action Rifle with Omni Muzzle Brake (BPR37-300PRC)

There's no longer a need to compromise performance for weight. Introducing the Premier Series MgLite, featuring an ultra-lightweight XLR Element magnesium chassis and Bergara's proprietary CURE Carbon barrel, making this rifle the epitome of a lightweight, packable precision hunting rifle.

The perfect mating of carbon and steel. Bergara cured the carbon barrel problem of inconsistency by getting steel and carbon to perfectly work together by managing heat. CURE Barrels are uniquely optimized both mechanically and thermodynamically via a proprietary, patent pending, carbon weave with embedded stainless strands that move heat. Every aspect of the design was optimized to yield an ultralight, stiff, straight, rugged barrel, shot after shot.

Two-lug system that features a separate floating bolt head to ensure contact with the lug abutments in the action. It also features a cone-shaped bolt nose for smooth feeding of the cartridge, and a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor located in the front of the lower locking lug. The one-piece bolt body is stainless steel with a pad at the rear to accept the threaded-in bolt handle. The bolt head, the non-rotating gas shield, and the bolt shroud are fully Nitrided for extreme durability, as well as its self-lubricating properties.

The XLR Element 4.0 Magnesium chassis as an ultra-lightweight modular hunting rifle chassis designed for the backcountry hunter. Configured with a carbon fiber folding buttstock and carbon fiber grip, the system weight is just 28 oz. This ultralight configuration is the first rifle chassis system in the world to weigh under 2 lbs! The MgLite features a built-in bubble level, and machined in RRS 1.5" dovetail (Arca-Swiss) in the forend.
