The BERGARA Premier Ridgeback Bolt Rifle is a member of Bergara's Premier Series. The stainless-steel barrel has a Graphite Black Cerakote, a Medium Palma barrel taper and a 5/8-24" TPI thread and thread protector at the muzzle.
The one-piece 416 stainless-steel Bergara Premier action has two-lugs for speedy, secure lockups and a sliding plate extractor, a separate floating bolt head. The oversize conical bolt knob provides an extra bit of grasp compared to spherical ones and is Cerakoted for durability. Nonetheless it's the stainless-steel's spiral fluting that is most eye-catching. Additionally, the bolt stop and bolt shroud are Nitrided for self-lubrication and durability. It also has a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor.
The two-position safety is part of the trigger assembly, which in the Ridgeback rifle is a TriggerTech trigger with Frictionless Release Technology. One great feature of this combination allows the bolt handle not to lock in the closed position, which in turn allows the rifle to be unloaded while in the safe position. The Ridgeback comes standard with a 5 round AICS style magazine (7 round mag: 6.5 PRC) and offers three barrel lengths, 20", 24", and 26".
The Bergara Premier Ridgeback rifle has the first composite stock to fully support the M-LOK system.
