The BROWNING 1911-22 Black Label Medallion Composite .22LR Pistol is not just another 1911 chambered in .22 LR. Unlike other 22 caliber 1911s that adapt parts to fit a full-size frame, Browning 1911-22 models are approximately 85% of the size. They are smaller, lighter, and more reliable because they were designed to fire 22 ammunition.
The Medallion Composite handgun uses Browning's proven composite frame for strength and light weight. To ensure longevity, the aluminum slide rides on allow slide rails inside the frame. The Medallion also has the components of a modern pistol; features like a skeletonized trigger and hammer, beavertail grip safety, and an extended slide release (ABS carry case included). This package is capped off with elegantly engraved wood grips with a gold-colored, inset Buckmark.
John Browning was a genius who was able to sit in his rocking chair and conceptualize abstract ideas that had never been used before in the firearms world. His mind was far superior to any CAD software, and his legacy lives on today as his 1911 pistol has influenced in large or small part most every successful modern pistol design following the model 1911. As he endeavored to bring his revolutionary designs closer to perfection, Browning continue that tradition, honoring the past while looking to the future.
