Tough and no-nonsense, the X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite, TCB is a bolt-action rifle built for hunting big game in hardwoods, mountains, and deserts with features designed to maximize accuracy. Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, the Hunter Composite is built on a receiver design with an additional bolt guidance surface for smooth, fast cycling. The bolt is also updated with weight-saving spiral fluting and a handle knob. These components are protected with a tough Tungsten Cerakote finish.
A light, sporter contour barrel offers a great blend of accuracy and weight savings. The muzzle is threaded M13x0.75 to accept the included radial muzzle brake, thread protector cap, or install an optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake for extra reduction in recoil. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
The stand-out feature is, of course, the black composite Vari-Tech stock. This configurable stock makes it easy to adjust the comb height to dial in the alignment between your eye and optics. Length of pull is adjusted internally with spacers for a solid, rattle-free feel. Even the grip angle can be changed by switching between the sporter and vertical grip modules. On the subject of grip, gray rubber overmolding on the gripping surfaces provides added security in all conditions. Coming in at 1-1/4" thick, the Inflex recoil pad enhances shooting comfort - something you'll certainly notice when sending magnum rounds downrange.
