Browning's roots are deep in the American West, and the Western Hunter Special LR SPR is built for the rugged landscapes. It has all of the performance-driven features made famous by the X-Bolt, all rolled into a revised action with additional bolt guidance for smoother bolt operation.
Optimized for long range accuracy, the lengths of the heavy sporter contour barrels run 4" shorter than standard lengths for use with a suppressor. The muzzle is threaded with the larger 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threading. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. The barrel specifications make this rifle an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions.
The standard rotary magazine retains the shoulder holding feature of the X-Bolt and uses the same center feed design to prevent damage to the tips of bullets in the magazine under recoil or when loading into the chamber.
This great looking rifle features a barreled action that is treated to a non-reflective, matte blued finish. The spiral fluted bolt features an extended handle and ergonomic knob for confident bolt cycling. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds. (Adjustable down to 3.0 pounds)
The lightweight Flat Dark Earth composite stock features comb height adjustments to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. The 1" thick Inflex recoil pad tames felt recoil.
