The Western Hunter Special is built to be tough, reliable, and capable of delivering a pinpoint shot across a canyon. It shares the performance-driven features made famous by the X-Bolt, all rolled into an action with additional bolt guidance for smooth as butter bolt operation.
The muzzle is belled to accommodate the larger 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threading. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. Additionally, the stainless steel barrel has a non-reflective matte finish.
A patented rotary magazine uses the center feed design that prevents damage to the tips of bullets in the magazine under recoil or when loading into the chamber.
This great looking rifle features an action that is treated with a non-reflective, matte blued finish. The spiral fluted bolt features an ergonomic bolt knob for confident bolt cycling. The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds.
The lightweight black composite stock is equipped with an adjustable comb that can be easily altered to dial-in the alignment between your eye and optics. The 1" thick Inflex recoil pad tames felt recoil.
