This sharp-looker features Wood Hydrographic Decoration (WHD) on a composite McMillan Game Scout stock, giving the appearance of a matte finished Turkish walnut with the weatherproof toughness you want in a hunting rifle.

McMillan is highly regarded in the rifle world as a supplier of premium stocks. The Game Scout is one of their best selling stocks, constructed from a rugged fiberglass composite material and precision machined for an exact fit. Machined-in aluminum pillars ensure the action fits perfectly. Bedding at the action screws and recoil lug free floats the barrel for consistent accuracy. Versatility is key for the Game Scout design, with the trim lines of a fine hunting stock coupled with the vertical grip and wider fore-end of a benchrest rifle. A premium Pachmayr Decelerator pad soaks up felt recoil.

The rifle has barrel specifications that make it an excellent choice for both hunting and long-range practice sessions. The lengths of the fluted heavy sporter contour barrels have been optimized and run 2" longer than standard lengths (to a maximum of 26") for added bullet velocities.
