To help improve grip, strength, and overall stability, Burris built these binoculars with an open-bridge that opens the middle of the optic to allow fingers to wrap around the tubes and dual hinges that support the front and rear of the tubes to keep the barrels parallel and aligned. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled to be watertight and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. Their lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis is wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armoring, and textured palm pads provide additional grip strength - especially in cold and wet weather.
