Griffin Armament was founded by two brothers, Austin and Evan Green, in 2005. They fell for guns when they were kids. Like many young shooters, they started with BB guns and naturally moved to .22 caliber rifles later. After high school, Austin and Evan joined the military and participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Unfortunately, they suffered hearing loss during their military service, which prompted them to pursue suppressor manufacturing on their return home to protect the ears of fellow hunters, plinkers, and competitive shooters.

Griffin is a relatively young company, but it’s already played a crucial role in the development of the gun industry. Impressive results of this suppressor brand were achieved through rigorous R&D and the use of state-of-the-art testing systems.

Griffin suppressors are a staple, but the company manufactures many other products like muzzle devices, pistol barrels, mounting systems, AR firearms, and AR parts.

Griffin Silencers

The Griffin Optimus is the revolution gun silencer. It’s universal, meaning it fits handguns and rifles and covers about 90% of commercially popular cartridges. Besides being modular for length and mounting systems as well as easily detachable for maintenance, the last version of the Optimus incorporates the proprietary Eco-Flow baffle system that reduces back pressure, increases service life, and provides more sound pressure reduction compared to the original. It also uses the Cam-Lok conversion interface. Optimus weight is 12 oz.

Besides universal cans (the Optimus and the Bushwhacker), Griffin delivers pistol, rifle, and rimfire suppressors.
