Built on the original designs of a renowned small arms designer, Kalashnikov USA’s firearms bear the mark of American quality and are built by Americans for Americans. Kalashnikov USA has been designing, manufacturing, and marketing Kalashnikov-style firearms since 2011 and replaced no-longer-available Russian-made Kalashnikov rifles in 2014.
Here, on Gritr Sports, you can find the most popular Kalashnikov USA firearm models, in which heritage is combined with American innovation.
Kalashnikov USA KR-103
The KR-103 is a semi-automatic civilian version of the AK-103, chambered in 7.62x39mm. The AK-103 was one of the last designs supervised by the father of the AK-47 himself. The KR-103 rifle accepts furniture and accessories from both AKM and AK-74. With a steel-reinforced polymer 7.62 magazine and highly effective muzzle brake, the KR-103 replicates the durability and robustness of original AK-47 and AKM platforms - the qualities that brought the series its reputation.
Kalashnikov USA KR-9
The KR-9 is a semi-automatic civilian legal pistol that is based on the Russian Vityaz submachine gun. This pistol can also be converted into a short-barreled rifle once approved by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The KR-9 features a Picatinny rail, 1/2 inch x 28 suppressor-ready muzzle threads, which makes it compatible with the majority of firearm accessories and muzzle devices in the USA.
Kalashnikov USA KP-9
The KP-9 draws inspiration from the very same Russian Vityaz submachine gun, but this time in the form of a rifle. The rifle features a skeletonized Vityaz triangle-style side folding stock and a hinged top cover with an attached Picatinny rail. Muzzle threads are the same as in the KR-9 and both models come with factory pre-installed flash suppressors. Chambered in a widespread 9mm, this low-recoil rifle is great for both training new shooters and entertaining seasoned gun enthusiasts.
Kalashnikov USA KS-12
If you are looking for a modern multi-purpose shotgun, the KS-12 is just what you need. The gun’s innovative gas system allows it to accept 2.75” and 3“ shells from low brass to slugs. This 12 gauge shotgun comes with one 5-round magazine, but can also accept higher capacity box or drum magazines.
