The LEUPOLD Quick Release Rings, 1-inch - Low Gloss (49970) provide a secure and repeatable mounting solution for fitting a riflescope to the receiver of your rifle.
Leupold's QR rings promise repeatable accuracy. Super-close machining tolerances are at the heart of this patented lever mechanism. By turning the lever forward, an eccentric on the lever shaft engages the base of the ring. This pulls the ring down and forward on the base, locking it solidly into its "zero" position.
This feature can be very appealing for several reasons. In some situations, it may be preferable to remove the scope when cleaning the rifle. Another common application of the system would be to remove the riflescope before shipping the rifle in baggage when traveling by plane. Often, it is desirable to have more than one riflescope available for a given rifle.
