Nosler Bullets
Once upon a time, John Nosler hunted moose in British Columbia, Canada. Unfortunately, the bullets he was using failed to give that moose a quick, humane death. In the 40s, soft-point projectiles had a copper jacket covering the base and leaving the nose open. Such design provided good expansion but often led to bullet fragmentation and insufficient penetration. On the other end, full metal jacket bullets penetrated deep but didn’t expand, leaving a small wound channel.
Nosler decided to find a balanced solution to the problem and developed his own projectiles. His hand-made bullets expanded quickly and maintained integrity. Soon, John started Nosler, Inc.
Generally, Nosler bullets and ammo are considered one of the best in the US. The company’s prime focus is hunting bullets and ammo in handgun and rifle calibers for game animals of any size, from varmints, to deer, to elk. However, Nosler also makes great self-defense ammo. The company’s best-known design is the Nosler Partition bullet. It has a dual-core construction, with the front lead core intended for expansion and the rear one designed to maximize weight retention.
The Nosler Accubond uses the proprietary bonding process that eliminates the possibility of the separation of a copper jacket from a lead core. The bullet contains a polymer tip for accuracy and smooth feeding.
