The Ruger SFAR Small-Frame Autoloading Rifle is a compact and versatile semi-auto rifle nearly identical in size to a traditional 5.56-caliber modern sporting rifle. Constructed with a 7075-T6 hard-coat anodized aluminum forging, the upper receiver features a brass deflector, forward assist, and a full-length Picatinny rail. The lower receiver includes a flared magazine well for easy insertion. Venting holes in the upper receiver, barrel extension, and bolt carrier direct excess gas safely away from the user.
Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, this rifle offers light recoil and long-range capabilities. The 15" free-floated aluminum handguard with Magpul M-LOK slots and full-length Picatinny rail supports a variety of accessories. Quick Detach (QD) sling swivel sockets at the muzzle end ensure comfortable carry with a two-point sling. The lower receiver is equipped with a Magpul PRS Lite stock and MOE-K2 grip for ergonomic access and control.
High-strength super alloy steel bolt and barrel extensions, along with tapered lug geometry, provide enhanced strength. The bolt carrier assembly includes a chrome-lined 8620 steel bolt carrier, nitride-processed gas key, and DLC-coated titanium firing pin for longevity. Dual ejectors and an optimized extractor ensure reliable ejection through the enlarged port.
The 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel, featuring ultra-precise 5R rifling and a black nitride finish, guarantees accuracy, longevity, and easy cleaning. The Ruger 2-port Boomer muzzle brake reduces recoil, while the 5/8"-24 threaded barrel is compatible with other attachments. The rifle-length gas system with a 0.750" 4-position rotary-regulator gas block adjusts easily for various ammunition types, facilitated by an onboard 3/16" ball-end wrench.
The Ruger Elite 452 trigger provides a smooth, crisp 4.5-pound 2-stage pull with a fast lock time and consistent primer ignition. The rifle comes with a 10-round Magpul PMAG magazine and is compatible with SR25/AR-10-pattern .308 Win/7.62 NATO magazines.
