The Ruger's conceal carry SR22 is a lineup of 10+1 capacity 22 LR semi-automatic pistols. Almost all have 3.50" stainless barrels, polymer frames, anodized aluminum slides, an under-muzzle Picatinny rail and high-visibility adjustable 3-dot dovetail sights. SR22s are a slim .97" wide, 4.90" tall, 6.40" long and weigh 17.5 ounces, or just over a pound. That's a lot of stuff in relatively little volume.
These semi-automatics are double-action/single-action as a serrated rounded loop hammer permits single-action cocking. Their 10-round magazines feature an extension that effectively lengthens the grip's forward face for a better, more comfortable, hold.
SR22s also feature ambidextrous manual thumb safeties, ambidextrous magazine latches, a nice combination of serrations around the grip and a visual inspection port to see if there's a rounded loaded in the chamber or not. Flip the safety to F (Fire) position, and it reveals a red band as a visual confirmation. It's a nice touch that everyone should adopt. There's more on safety. If the magazine is out, the gun won't fire even if there's a round loaded in the chamber.
These guns come with two 10-round magazines, two corresponding finger grip magazine extension floorplates and two interchangeable rubberized grips with differing palmswells to accommodate different hands.
