Springfield Armory has introduced their newest handgun, the 1911 DS Prodigy. This 1911 style handgun has been updated to give it a modern feel. The DS Prodigy features a 4.25" steel bull barrel, and comes with one 17 round magazine and one 20 round magazine. The steel frame is cerakoted black, while the highly textured polymer grips ensure a secure hold on the firearm. The steel slide utilizes Springfield's Agency Optic System which allows the mounting of the Hex Dragonfly red dot optic that is included with the handgun. The raised fiber optic front and u-notch rear sights allow for absolute co-witness with a red dot.
