One of Spyderco's most popular knife models, the SPYDERCO Manix 2 Folding Knife, Black (C101GP2) - hand-built in Golden, Colorado - features a blade made of exotic high carbon steel and patented, hard use-rated ball bearing lock. The hardened, free-floating ball bearing lock is contained in a custom polymer cage, allowing the lock to self adjust across a large surface, smoothly and consistently locking up.
The blade is Crucible CPM S30V and flat-ground with aggressive thumb serrations (jimping) above a super sized 14mm Spyderco Round Hole. Full steel liners have jimping that extends beyond the G-10 handle scales, scalloping areas of the handle's perimeter for nonslip use, even with gloves on. The double-purpose liners add rigidly and lightweight strength to the handle. A three-screw clip is left/right-hand carry, positioned for comfort and deep pocket carry. The knife also has a large lanyard pipe to protect various types of cords or thongs.
