More than forty years ago, Dave Talley founded Talley Manufacturing. Before the foundation, Dave was a firearm designer, building custom rifles for hunters. But he always strived to achieve the highest-level performance.

Many people underestimate the importance of the scope mounting system, whereas it’s a critical link between the rifle and the scope. As Gary Turner, the President of the company, said, “The system is only going to be good as the joint between the scope and the gun.” And indeed it is. A poorly-designed mounting system makes your scope meaningless, no matter how precise it is.

So, Dave Talley understood how greatly scope mounts impact the system performance. He wanted to manufacture accessories that withstand any extreme conditions. His passion resulted in a range of detachable scope rings and mounts. Today, Talley still manufactures rings created by Dave.

Talley QD Scope Rings

Talley rings provide exceptional repeatability, holding zero after numerous detachments and attachments of the scope. They are very flexible and easy to handle because they have only one moving part. The rings are built to perfectly suit, locking up as tightly as a solid system and not experiencing slip-offs. Talley Lightweight Rings

Talley is also known for its one-piece lightweight alloy scope rings. Unlike two-piece rings, this design has no joint between the rifle and the scope, eliminating the possibility of an out-of-alignment interface and loose connection. Their lightweight nature gives a nice balance. Talley’s Remington Model 783 and Winchester XPR scope mounts are very popular among the owners of these rifles.

Talley Picatinny Rails

Talley also produces a vast range of Pic rails machined from high-grade aluminum. For increased durability, the Talley pic rails are finished with Cerakote or anodized to 65 Rockwell hard.
