The frame is forged which results in better grain structure and strength, perfect to allow the revolver to perform better in an abusive situation like competitive shooting with an extended life. The Cattleman "New Model" Frame features a case-hardened forged steel frame, blued steel parts, smaller Navy-size grip, wider front fixed blade and rear sight frame notch, and spring-retained quick release cylinder pin.
