This LawDawg Remington Conversion is a perfect reproduction from the historic period when popular black powder revolvers were being converted into cartridge revolvers. Although manufactured as an already converted cartridge revolver, these copies still feature an easy transition from black powder to centerfire cartridges. The Remington Conversion in .45LC allows a shooter to switch from .45LC to .44 black powder by removing the breech plate, cartridge cylinder, and replacing them both with a spare black powder cylinder.
Along with the original conversion design, these revolvers retain other original features: the forged frames are dovetailed to allow the loading gate assembly to slide into place, and a modern ejector rod incorporated into the original black powder loading lever with a small notch cut into the loading lever itself. The Lawdawg features a two-piece ivory polymer grip, octagonal barrel, blued finish, and brass trigger guard. This model is enhanced with standard laser engraving.
