Sigs, Glocks, 1911s - these are all gorgeous pieces of weaponry. Their time-tested reliability, ergonomics, and performance have made them the go-to guns for many shooters. However, not all people settle for standard things, looking for something unique and exotic. Well, if you’re that kind of person, please welcome Volquartsen.
Volquartsen traces its origin back to 1974. That was the year when Tom Volquartsen decided to repurpose the basement of a rented house into his manufacturing facility, where he intended to redesign and modernize any guns that happened to fall into his hands. After ten years of customizing firearms as a hobby, working nights and weekends, Tom took business full-time. His crafts made it to the magazines, which increased demand and prompted him to narrow his focus to making unique rimfire designs.
Today, Volquartsen is known for engineering one-of-a-kind rimfire rifles and pistols as well as customized parts for Ruger Mark IV and 10/22 platforms.
Volquartsen Rifles
Gritr Sports stocks a wide selection of Volquartsen .17 and .22 rifles in classic and tactical designs. If you’re looking for a survival rifle for your wild adventures, consider the Volquartsen VT2. It’s a takedown, toolless design folding and unfolding with a simple button push. Builds for .22 WMR and .17 HMR versions of the VT3 can easily swap calibers with a simple barrel change.
Want a more classic Volquartsen .22? Consider the Volquartsen Summit. It’s a straight-pull bolt-action rifle inspired by the iconic 10/22 platform. The Summit features a precision-machined receiver with an integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail for outstanding rimfire long-range performance.
If you’re looking for a Volquartsen .17 HMR, consider the Lightweight semi-auto or the SF-1 with a hybrid barrel combining straight and spiral fluting for improved heat dissipation.
If you want to modify your Ruger platform, shop for Volquartsen 10/22 and Volquartsen Mark IV parts.
Volquartsen Pistols
The Volquartsen Scorpion is an exceptionally accurate target pistol in .22 LR. The main feature is a proprietary light frame that decreases the overall weight to mere 2 lbs.
The Volquartsen Black Mamba is another great pistol in the company’s arsenal. The model is a combination of the mentioned Scorpion and a takedown functionality of the Ruger Mark IV.
