Armscor began its way as a jack of all trades, dealing in clothing, sporting goods, firearms, ammunition, and whatnot. Throughout its history, the company has been slightly shifting its focus to the firearm sphere to one day finally become master of ammunition. The brand has seen a major bust in recognition and profit in 1952, when it began helping to rebuild the post-war Philippines by obtaining the first government-issued firearm production license and opening facilities all over the country. It wasn’t until the 1980s that the Armscor brand, as we know it today, came into being. After being renamed as “Arms Corporation of the Philippines”, the brand began a new chapter in its history book that turned out to be filled with only bright pictures. Having founded the first Armscor USA office in Nevada in 1986 and acquired the Rock Island Armory brand soon after that, Armscor entered the new millennium with hopes and plans they were determined to fulfill. Spoiler, they did and keep doing so.
Even though their acquired Rock Island Armory is known for its firearm, the brand itself has earned its fame thanks to quality ammunition. Armscor ammo manufacturing facility in Marikina, Philippines, annually produces about 420 million rounds that are sold in more than 60 countries. The choice of quality ammunition is quite varied, which allows Armscor to compete with other major ammunition manufacturers.
