The BROWNING X-Bolt 2 Composite Special LR SPR Rifle is designed to offer tack-driving accuracy both in the field and at the bench.
Like all X-Bolt 2 rifles, the Composite Special LR SPR is built on a receiver that features additional bolt guidance surface for smooth, fast cycling. A non-reflective matte blued finish is applied to the action. The black composite stock is weather-resistant and lightweight.
The heavy sporter contour barrel is 4-inches shorter than standard lengths to keep the length of the rifle in check when using a suppressor. Additionally, the barrel is optimized for long range shooting and finished with a non-reflective matte stainless coating. The muzzle is threaded with 5/8"-24 suppressor-ready threading. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.
The DLX Trigger is a three-lever design that offers zero creep, zero take-up, and zero overtravel performance and comes preset from the factory at 3.5 pounds.
The patented rotary magazine feeds cartridges from the center of the magazine for straight to the chamber feeding. The magazine also has shoulder retention to protect the tip of the bullet from striking the front of the magazine during recoil.
