The BROWNING X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan Carbon Fiber Bolt-Action Rifle resides at the top-end of the X-Bolt 2 line-up. This rifle is seriously outfitted for big game hunting and equally capable of delivering top results in a long range precision shooting match.

Normally reserved for custom rifles, the McMillan Game Warden 2.0 stock is made from lightweight carbon fiber for a rock-solid platform that is impervious to the elements. Machined-in aluminum pillars ensure the action fits perfectly. Bedding at the action screws and recoil lug free floats the barrel for consistent accuracy. The Game Scout design bridges the gap between a hunting and a target stock, with a vertical grip with top thumb rest, wider fore-end, and raised comb for correct eye alignment with large diameter optics. Graphics are added to break up the outline and help hide you from your quarry. A premium Pachmayr Decelerator pad soaks up felt recoil. An aluminum Picatinny rail makes mounting a bipod trouble free.

The use of carbon fiber isn't limited to the stock. This rifle sports a wrapped carbon fiber barrel from Preferred Barrels. Extensive research and testing of Preferred Barrels products have ensured their quality levels and accuracy. Each barrel begins as a blank that is precision bored and button rifled before being stress relieved. The barrels use a stronger, stiffer carbon fiber wrapping process rather than simple carbon fiber sleeve or tube construction like less expensive designs that offer the carbon fiber look without the functional benefits of the wrapping process. Barrels come in standard lengths that vary by caliber. The muzzle is threaded 5/8"-24 and is ready for use with an optional suppressor. A Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector cap are included. The action is bedded, and the barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy.

The Pro stainless steel receiver has had excess material machined away and the bolt is spiral fluted. The aluminum bolt handle is fluted and has a hollow knob. A Cerakote Carbon Gray finish is applied to the for metal protection that exceeds that of bare stainless steel. A 20 MOA Picatinny rail with bubble level tops the receiver.
