Standardized by the DEA, ATF, and FBI SWAT, the EOTECH 552 Holographic Weapon Sight, 65 MOA Ring/1 MOA Dot Reticle, NV Compatible, AA Battery (552.A65/1) is by far the most popular HWS model.
The EOTech 552 ensures significant gains in speed upon initial weapon presentation, and target-to-target shot placement. Seemingly effortless follow-up shots can be executed with unprecedented speed and accuracy. When deployed in CQB environments, the 552 Holographic Sight allows maximum peripheral vision by allowing the operator to take full advantage of a heads-up and both-eyes-open sighting technique.
This model HWS comes with a standard reticle - 65 MOA ring with alignment ticks and a 1 MOA aiming dot. The large, open ring is the key to the lightning quick eye recognition and unmatched target acquisition speed. Alternately, the 1 MOA can be used for precision aiming at distances as far as 500 yards where it only covers 5" of the target scene. The reticle demonstrates its versatility for a host of close quarter and long range engagement scenarios.
When coaligned with a suitable NVD, this model sight becomes part of a formidable night vision weapon sighting system. A special night vision setting reduces the intensity of the Eotech holosight reticle to eliminate halo and over-saturation of the night vision device. With the appropriate rail extension and quick release mechanism, this combination allows your weapon to switch from broad daylight to no-light environments quickly, easily, and without losing zero.
This NV compatible, AA battery model is the sight of choice by military units like Stryker Brigade, 10th Mountain, and 3rd Infantry. It is battle proven to withstand the abuse that any harsh environment, high powered weapon platform, or military mission can dish out.
WARNING: This Holographic Weapon Sight is controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and may not be exported without proper authorization by the U.S. Department of State.
