Firearms have many components that directly influence their consistency, accuracy, and reliability. Obviously, most of them are located in the gun’s heart, the action, where the ammunition is loaded, fired, and ejected. The trigger is a critical component, and the gun’s performance is directly related to it.
Top-tier brands are aware of that and put a lot of effort into developing and manufacturing high-quality triggers for their firearms. However, not all of them deliver their products at moderate prices, and some of us have to start with more commonplace guns or build our own designs from scratch, as it’s the case with the AR-15 platform.
Thankfully, we have a load of innovative gun parts manufacturers. One of them is TriggerTech.
Why TriggerTech
TriggerTech was established in the 2010s and is a relatively young company, but its products have already won universal recognition, not only among individual shooters but also among reputable firearms brands, such as Bergara, Christensen Arms, Surgeon Rifles, MasterPiece Arms, Proof Research, and many others. We call TriggerTech an innovative company for a reason - the company is a holder of several patents, such as TriggerTech Remington 700 single- and two-stage triggers, TriggerTech AR-15 trigger, and many others.
TriggerTech Drop-In Triggers
Triggers manufactured by TT use several technologies. As such, Friction Release Tech employs a free-floating roller that removes friction between the trigger and the sear and contributes to performance consistency. TriggerTech triggers also use the ticker that minimizes overtravel. A detent-and-set-screw combination allows for safe fine-tuning of trigger pull. All trigger housings are made of anodized 7075 aluminum.
At Gritr Sports, you’ll find the company’s triggers for bolt-action rifles (TriggerTech Remington 700) and AR rifles.
The Rem 700 triggers exist in several versions - the TriggerTech Primary (1.5-4.0 lbs), the TriggerTech Special (1.0-3.5 lbs), and the TriggerTech Diamond (<4-32 oz)
Initially, the Diamond was developed for Rem 700 competitive shooters, but then the design migrated into the AR-15 cassette. The TriggerTech AR-15/AR-10 Diamond are 2-stage triggers adjustable within a 1.5-4.0 lbs pull weight, with a zero-creep break. The TriggerTech AR triggers feel very similar to 1911.
