The Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro is a bolt-action hunting rifle for the rigors of hunting from the lightweight carbon fiber stock to the Recoil Hawg muzzle brake. This rifle is classified to be a "semi-custom" rifle due to the specialized finishing touches and higher end construction above the already top-tier X-Bolt family of hunting rifles.
The rifle has a true carbon fiber stock filled with noise-dampening foam which is lighter than older versions, but is still rigid and extremely durable. Free-floated barrel that is bedded in the front and the rear of the action for stability and to help maintain barrel-to-stock spacing for consistent accuracy.
The barrel features proprietary lapping which enhances the bore finish as well as easier bore cleaning. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with Browning's Recoil Hawg muzzle brake which reduces recoil up to 76% (thread protector included).
Browning's X-Bolt series has earned its reputation as a top-notch hunting rifle, and the X-Bolt Mountain Pro Burnt Bronze is certainly one of the finest rifles in this revered lineup.
