The LEICA Geovid-R 8x56 Laser Rangefinder Binoculars combines high end image quality with the application of a 1200-yard laser rangefinder. The optics are fully multi-coated with proprietary HDC anti-reflection coatings to boost light transmission of the larger 56mm objective lenses which themselves improve color and contrast rendition at long distances and in low light conditions.
The 7mm exit pupil appears to give you a brighter image in conjunction with the larger 56mm objective size. The twist up eyecups provide adequate eye-relief for comfortable viewing, while the large 357 ft. FOV @ 1000 yds. gives a wide field of view for expansive views. The body is nitrogen filled for fogproof / waterproof performance in extreme conditions with an ergonomic non-slip grip.
The Rangefinder utilizes an infrared laser, and a built-in inclinometer, the on-board computer adjusts the displayed range for more precise shot placement when shooting up or downhill, and an in-view 4-character LED display allows the observer to view the range without having to take their eyes off the subject. This version of the Geovid displays distances in yards and is controlled with a convenient single push button.
