Designed to meet the needs of modern shooters seeking a precision and versatile firearm, the Live Free Armory AMPX is an evolutionary version of the AMP. This Aluminum Match-Grade Pistol is chambered in 9mm caliber and features a longer grip taking a standard Glock 17 magazine. The lightweight and compact construction of the AMPX makes it highly maneuverable and ideal for concealed carry applications.
Developed by a team of engineers, shooters, and law enforcement, the AMPX pistol is the perfect combination of the accuracy and feel of a traditional steel pistol without compromising the reliability and comfort of a modern polymer pistol. The Fire Control Unit is CNC machined out of heat-treated 17-4 Stainless Steel to provide long-lasting performance. This also allows for the rails to be machined perfectly flat to each other and held to a .0005 specification to reduce any unnecessary play.
The Live Free Armory AMPX is equipped with the match-grade nitrided fluted barrel, that is honed, burnished to an 8-micron finish, and rifle cut for unsurpassed accuracy. For improved grip, reduced weight, and increased cycling speed, the slide is machined with stepped quad windows and deeper serrations. It comes with an RMR optic cut to mount a sight directly without cumbersome plates or adapters. The barrel, trigger, slide, sights, and most internal parts are Glock-compatible.
The aluminum milled grip with an extended beavertail reduces flex and recoil and improves accuracy and comfort. In addition, the skeletonized 1911-angled grip module allows for custom and aftermarket grip panels to be modified for an intuitive and reliable grip.
