The barrel is also topped with an adjustable Savage-designed muzzle brake the shooter can tune to the recoil impulse of the rifle to stabilize the muzzle, allowing for faster, more accurate follow-up shots. The custom-length, low-profile, gas block is enclosed by a custom free-float handguard and can be adjusted for optimum cycling of the full range of bullet weights and tuned for use with a suppressor.
