Precision rifle stocks have a wide or flat bottom forend for stability, the SP3RV3 from Seekins Precision brings this performance to an AR hand guard. The design of the SP3RV3 was born from experience shooting 3 gun and long range sniper competitions where shooting from barricades, random objects and from improvised shooting positions needed the improved stability of a wide, flat bottom hand guard, greatly improving accuracy and shooting performance. The design is lightweight and fits perfectly in the shooter's support hand for use in active shooting and rifle handling situations.
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the SP3RV3 has a top integral Picatinny rail that is seamless with the top rail of most upper receivers, providing versatility for mounting optics and accessories. M-Lok slots run the length of the hand guard at the 3, 6 and 9 O'clock positions for rail mounting of accessories when needed. Six anti-rotation QD sling attachment points are milled directly into the hand guard, as are cooling slots providing maximum airflow to keep barrels for overheating during prolonged periods of shooting.
The SP3RV3 is Type III Hardcoat Anodized matte black and is available in 12" or 15" lengths and comes with all of the needed items to mount to a standard upper receiver including the SP3R mounting nut, eight grade 8 T20 Torx screws and a titanium barrel nut.
