This year marks the 20th anniversary of the events on 09.11.2001, the single most defining moment in modern history that changed the course of life for millions. Oakley honors and remembers the brave first responders, soldiers, and all who sacrificed to save others and protect freedom. Oakley designed the limited-edition "Never Forget" Collection to honor the service and sacrifice of so many. In partnership with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Oakley Standard Issue is proudly donating $25,000 to support a number of programs that honor Military and First Responders who continue to make the ultimate sacrifice for USA.
Inspired by the street glory of speed machines, Oakley design language did a complete 180 in 2005. Soft curves were traded for straight edges and hard lines to sculpt very first high-wrap lifestyle shades. The toric lens design became known as Gascan and it spawned an aesthetic so new and original, Oakley customized the corporate logo for the frame.
