    HK Pistol with LEM

Posted by Sam on Nov 3rd 2022

This is only my second HK, after my P7M8. Both are obviously bizarre in operation. I discovered that if you gently rack the slide to chamber a new round from a fresh mag, the LEM trigger will remain in heavy double action mode...which is actually a pretty neat "feature" if you prefer a heavier first-round trigger pull for carry. If you rack the slide with more force, the trigger immediately switches to the light DA mode...which is really more like SA. There is nothing about this in the manual, and HK Tech Support was unfamiliar with this behavior.
